Latest under our scout's gaze is future Manchester United star Chris Smalling - recommended by Sky Sports reader Jake Gibbons.
We report on one of the hottest young defensive prospects Chris Smalling, who has just agreed a deal with Manchester United.
Smalling is slender central defender who signed for Fulham in 2008 after starting his football career with Maidstone United.
Smalling wanted to finish his education before committing to football, so he signed for Maidstone, but was soon fast-tracked into their first-team and made his debut at 17.
During his time with Maidstone, Smalling was already under the gaze of England's scouting system and he was one of the few non-league players to represent his country.
It was during his time playing for England schoolboys that he really began to attract interest from scouts and Middlesbrough's famed youth academy spotted his potential and he agreed a deal to move to the Riverside and signed a two-year deal.
But soon after Smalling decided he wanted to stay in the South and Boro agreed to cancel their contract with him and he signed for Fulham instead.
Within 12 months, Smalling made his debut for England Under-20s and was also handed his league debut by Fulham.
This season has seem him progress again for his country as he has been capped by the Under-21s, and also with Fulham having become a regular in their squad, if not their first-team.
Now after less than half-a-dozen games for Fulham they have agreed a deal with Manchester United, which could see them pocket more than £10million.
But how good is Smalling? Well, there is little doubt he is a class act and the comparisons to United's own Rio Ferdinand are easy to make.
He is a similar build to the United and England star, and their games are also easy to liken. Smalling is very, very quick - but his main attribute is his footballing brain.
Outstanding on the ball, he can pick a pass as good as many midfielders, while his tackling and heading are also very good, and they will be no doubt honed to their full potential by Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford.
A real outstanding prospect, who will only progress under Sir Alex Ferguson. He will now be considered the heir apparent to Ferdinand, which is a big tag to live with.
While Smalling is unlikely to be rushed into the first-team, Ferguson will know that it will not take much polishing to turn him into a real diamond of a signing.
