Latest under our scout's gaze is Osasuna star Cesar Azpilicueta - recommended by Sky Sports reader Tomas Pina.

The scout reports...

Young full-back Cesar Azpilicueta is one of the best up and coming defenders in La Liga.

The 20-year-old is a Basque native, who heralds from Pamplona, and has come through the youth ranks at Osasuna.

Azpilicueta was an attacking midfielder for Osasuna's youth side, and was even handed his debut back in 2007 while still with the reserve side.

However, Azpilicueta's big break came later in 2007 when a host of injuries meant he was pushed into action at right-back. And the rest, as they say, is history.

Azpilicueta has quickly become established at right-back, taking to his new role with relative ease, despite the fact his favoured foot is his left.

His background was as a midfielder as he has an attacking mentality and could be considered a wing-back in many ways.

Azpilicueta has many attributes of a Northern Spaniard as he is aggressive in the tackle, but possesses plenty of natural skill.

Azpilicueta is also now first-choice for the Spanish Under-21s, and Osasuna would seemingly have a battle on their hands to fend off interest.

The scout says

An outside candidate for the Spanish World Cup squad, and surely a future international and easy to see why the likes of Manchester City and Arsenal have been linked.

Azpilicueta has been re-born as an attacking full-back, and at the moment his game is going from strength to strength.
