The Sky Sports Scout is taking a break from his usual duties as he turns his gaze upon the European Under-21 Championship.

Your suggestions have been flooding in for who you want our man to run the rule over in Sweden, and we will be looking to bring a number of reports to you over the duration of the tournament.

The next player under our gaze is Germany's highly-rated Mesut Ozil - who many of you have picked out for our scout to check on.

As always, in association with Football Manager, we give all readers the chance to win a copy of the latest game by nominating the player we look at.

You can only nominate a player by emailing here, including the word 'Scout' in your subject line.

Should your player get reviewed by our scout, and you were first to send in his name, then you will win a copy of Football Manager Live! - which includes a pre-paid four-month subscription.

As said a host of you nominated Ozil, but first to do so was Richard Spencer.

The scout reports...

German-born Ozil, to Turkish parents, has long been seen as one of the brightest prospects to emerge from the Bundesliga system in a long, long time.

He began his career with local club Schalke and quickly became a first-team regular, but in January 2008 he moved to Werder Bremen after a row with the club involving his parents.

But Werder had no qualms about paying more than £4million for a then 19-year-old, and he has not disappointed since making the switch to Bremen.

Indeed he is the main reason Werder were more than happy to sell Brazilian Diego to Juventus, and he will be tasked with replacing him in the coming years.

Ozil is a central midfielder who likes to get forward, he is slight in build but has a huge heart and is capable of frightening any opposing defence.

He has wonderful technique and his ability with the ball is a joy to behold. But he is not just a one trick pony as he also has an eye for a pass, indeed creating goals is his primary weapon - although he can also strike a ball well from distance.

Indeed the fact he was handed his full Germany debut earlier this year is a sign of how well regarded he is on his homeland.

The scout says...

This lad has got the lot in terms of an attacking midfielder, pace, skill and vision in abundance.

Werder, though, know exactly what they have got on their hands here and he won't be leaving their clutches for a good while.
