Latest under our scout's gaze is FC Twente forward Marko Arnautovic - recommended by Sky Sports reader Owen Brown.

The scout reports...

Marko Arnautovic has emerged as one of the real success stories of Dutch football over the last season.

The tall, yet elegant, Austrian came through the youth ranks in his homeland - but was snapped up by FC Twente three years ago after catching the eye of their scouts at a tender age.

He was quick to make an impact in Enschede as he made his first-team debut in early 2007. The following year he was heavily involved - but his big breakthrough has come under Steve McClaren's tutelage this term.

He has started almost every game under McClaren and helped them to a second-place finish in the Eredivisie. He also showed his prowess in front of goal as he grabbed 12.

His goals return is outstanding for a man who, for the most part, plays his football wide on the right and is equally adept at making goals.

His form also saw him called into the Austrian squad late last year and he looks set to become a key player for his country in the coming years.

Many believe his future lies as an out-and-out striker, and he has been compared to Zlatan Ibrahmimovic in Holland - although a better comparison could be to Robin van Persie, due to his outstanding technical ability.

Arnautovic loves to take people on and he has the skills and pace to do so at will, and he has the ability to pick a pass - essential for any good wide-man.

Although his goals return has been excellent, his finishing prowess does need work but at just 20 he has huge potential.

The scout says...

Steve McClaren is desperate to keep Arnautovic for another year, but with Chelsea and Inter Milan both making firm moves for the player that looks unlikely.

Whether he is ready for the Premier League and Serie A remains to be seen, but he certainly has the ability to make it at the top level.
