We run the rule over Brazilian starlet Keirrison

Sky Sports Scout is our exciting feature where we scour the globe looking out for the best talent and bring you a report on what we find. Our Scout will report back and you can comment on what you think of our appraisal. Also, in association with Football Manager, we give all readers the chance to win a copy of the latest game by nominating a player. You can only nominate a player by emailing here, including the word 'Scout' in your subject line. Should your player get reviewed by our scout, and you were first to send in his name, then you will win a copy of Football Manager Live! - which includes a pre-paid four-month subscription. Latest under our scout's gaze is Palmeiras striker Keirrison - recommended by Sky Sports reader Richard Howells.

The scout reports...

You know when you are the most talked about talent in Brazil, then you are something special and that is currently Keirrison. The 20-year-old is a striker currently plying his trade with Palmeiras, but he first came to prominence at Coritiba. He made his senior debut in 2007 and inspired them to glory as they won Brazilian Serie B title and the Parana State League title. Keirrison finished as top scorer in both title successes, but whilst many doubted he could continue that sort of form in the top-flight of Serie A he blossomed as he again topped the goalscoring charts with 21 goals, making him the youngest-ever player to finish as top scorer in Brazil's top division. His exploits for Coritiba caught the attentions of many clubs, but Palmeiras - with the help of Keirrison's management company - secured his signature and he arrived in 2009. He has not disappointed with almost a goal a game in his first 20 matches - but still the Palmeiras support seem unvonvinced, but why? Well there is no doubting Keirrison is a wonderful talent and a great goalscorer - but there lies the issue with some, he isn't much more. If you're wanting a Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo, who can do things of genius as well as finding the net - you're not really going to get that with Keirrison, although he is as skilful as any Brazilian is, or should be. But any criticism is very harsh, Keirrison loves scoring goals and that is what he does with great aplomb. Yes his link-up play can leave a lot to be desired and he is guilty of disappearing in matches, but then again who cares when more often than not he is there to pop in a goal.

The scout says...

Keirrison is a proven goalscorer, who will only get better - and scouts of Real Madrid, Barcelona, AC Milan and Liverpool are not issuing glowing reports back to their bosses for no reason. Could easily move in the summer, although would benefit from another year in South America. An outside bet to make Brazil's World Cup squad next year.
