Up this week for the scout is Bayern Munich's Toni Kroos who was recommended by Sky Sports reader Michael Miller.
Toni Kroos is generally regarded as one of German football's greatest talents and a certain international star of the future.
The midfielder, who was born into a sporting family - his father is youth coach at Hansa Rostock and his mother is a former badminton champion - joined Bayern Munich from Rostock in the summer of 2006.
A playmaker and dead-ball specialist, Kroos immediately shone in Bayern's Regional League team before former coach Ottmar Hitzfeld called him up to the first-team squad where he made his Bundesliga debut as a substitute in September 2007.
Kroos came to further national attention for his performances at the 2007 U17 World Cup in South Korea where he captained the Germany team to the semi-finals and was subsequently voted the Player of the Tournament.
Recent reports that Kroos has failed to thoroughly convince new Bayern coach Jurgen Klinsmann have meant a temporary setback to his career, but there is little doubt that the club's management see the youngster as the long-term successor to Mehmet Scholl whose playmaker boots have not been filled since his retirement in 2007.
Kroos has the skill and vision to make his way at both Bayern Munich and then on the international scene.
If he manages to battle his way back into contention at the Allianz Arena he could well be in line for Germany's 2010 World Cup squad.
