Up this week for the scout is Almeria's Pablo Piatti who was recommended by Sky Sports reader William Jeffrey - who wins a copy of Football Manger 2009!

The scout reports...

Argentine winger Pablo Piatti is taking La Liga by storm and looks to be one of the biggest young talents in Europe.

The diminutive Piatti first came to prominence in 2006 back in his native Argentina when he scored on his debut for Estudiantes and became one of the heroes of their championship winning side.

Within 12 months he was a key member of Diego Simeone's first-team and helped form a lethal midfield quartet alongside the likes Juan Sebastian Veron.

Piatti was quickly propelled into the international squad and helped Argentina's Under-20s claim the World Cup in 2007 and even though he was the youngest member of the side, he played an important role playing several matches.

Piatti then shocked many in his homeland by accepting a transfer to Spanish minnows Almeria - who paid a relatively modest £5.5million for him.

However, Piatti's decision to shun Europe's elite - looks to have paid off as he is now playing week-in-week-out in one of the world's top leagues and is proving he is more than capable, with his outstanding dribbling technique and eye for goal.

The scout says...

It is far too easy to compare any brilliant young Argentine forward with Lionel Messi, but this boy is the genuine article - but he is his own player. If he continues to progress, he will be a key player for Argentina and which ever side he chooses to play for in the coming seasons.
