Eugenie Bouchard: Has reached at least the semi-finals at all three grand slams in 2014

Bouchard's star is rapidly on the rise after reaching two grand slam semi-finals and finishing as Wimbledon runner-up this year.

The Canadian became a full-time professional at the relatively late age of 18 at the end of the 2012 but has wasted no time in climbing her way up into the top 10 of the WTA rankings.

She reached her first grand slam semi-final at the Australian Open this year and followed that up by reaching the same stage at Roland Garros.

But the highlight of her year so far came at the All England Club, where she made it all the way to the final before being well beaten by Petra Kvitova. She also won her first WTA tournament - in Nuremberg - this year.

The Quebecois is not the most powerful player on tour but she can overwhelm opponents by taking the ball early and playing on the front foot. She went out in the second round at Flushing Meadows last year.
