The US Open starts on Monday and Andy Murray goes into the final Grand Slam of the season feeling happy with his condition.
The 2012 champion begins his campaign against Robin Haase of the Netherlands on Monday and the British World No 9 says he is pleased with his form in practice ahead of the New York event.
Murray also says he has been trying to adopt a more relaxed approach and feels he is reaping the benefits.
“I feel the pressure has been extreme and I have also put a lot of pressure on myself as well,” he said.
“I don’t know if that is necessarily the best way of going about things. It can lead to very stressful practice sessions in the build-up to the tournament.
“But this week has been completely different.
“I’ve been very relaxed this week. I’ve enjoyed my practices and played very well in them.
“I’m hoping I can maintain that in the tournament.”
