Uruguayan Pablo Cuevas will contest his first senior final on Sunday after beating Fernando Verdasco in the SkiStar Swedish Open.
His upset victory over third seed Verdasco, 7-6 (8/6) 6-3, earned him a final against Joao Sousa.
Cuevas is the third Uruguayan to reach an ATP showpiece, following on from Diego Perez and Mercelo Filippini.
The world number 11 will now tackle Portugal's Sousa, who came from behind to dump defending champion Carlos Berlocq out.
Sousa lost the first 6-3 but recovered to take the next two sets to four and is now one win away from his second Tour title.
