Gianluigi Quinzi of Italy has won the Wimbledon boys' singles title following a tense battle against South Korean Hyeon Chung.

The No 6 seed won 7-5 7-6 (7/2) in a contest of contrasting sets between the two 17 year olds on Court No 1.

The first set produced seven breaks of serve while the second did not even yield one.

Quinzi had ended the hopes of Britain's Kyle Edmund in the semi-finals on Saturday.

Former winners of the competition include Bjorn Borg, Ivan Lendl, Pat Cash, Stefan Edberg and Roger Federer.
