Second seed Roger Federer had few problems in cruising past Roberto Bautista Agut to make the Wimbledon quarter-finals.
The 33-year-old Swiss, looking to secure an eighth title, ripped into the Spaniard from the off and after breaking at the third attempt eased to take the opening set in 19 breathtaking minutes with a fifth game in a row.
Federer was going for the jugular and broke the 20th seed at the start of set two and did not let a medical time-out for Bautista Agut, who hurt his ankle in a fall in the fifth game, distract him before closing out the set.
The 17-time Grand Slam winner was relentless from the baseline and wrapped up his last eight spot on his fifth match point with a 6-2 6-2 6-3 win in 86 minutes.
Incredibly, Federer is yet to lose a service game in the tournament. He has faced just two break points in 58 service games and committed only three double faults.
"Maybe the guys are returning terrible," joked Federer. "I got things figured out at the moment. Clearly having the extra week (between the French Open and Wimbledon) helped me be perfectly prepared for Wimbledon."
But Federer believes his winning serving streak will end in the next round.
In what will be his 45th Grand Slam quarter-final, Federer will play Gilles Simon, who has only once reached the last eight of a major tournament (2009 Australian Open).
The Frenchman will make his first appearance in a Wimbledon quarter-final after stunning 2010 runner-up Tomas Berdych 6-3 6-3 6-2.
Federer said: "Gilles Simon is one of the best return players we have in the game. I would think I'll be tested a lot. So that streak's maybe coming to an end, in my opinion."
US Open champion Marin Cilic booked his spot with a 6-4 4-6 6-3 7-5 win over American Denis Kudla.
The Croat will face the winner of Novak Djokovic or Kevin Anderson.
French Open champion Stan Wawrinka is continuing his fine run in London with the fourth seed defeating David Goffin of Belgium 7-6 (7-3) 7-6 (7-5) 6-4 on Court 1.
The Swiss star also reached the Wimbledon quarter-finals last year, but he has never been further. He will next play 21st seed Richard Gasquet.
