Third-seed Samantha Stosur will be out to upset the home support when she takes on France's Kristina Mladenovic in the final of the Internationaux de Strasbourg.
Stosur had to battle through three sets against American Sloane Stephens, taking the opener with a single service break before dropping her serve twice to lose the second.
The Australian powered through the decider, though, taking all three of her break points and winning 25 of 34 points in all to complete a 6-3 3-6 6-0 win.
Mladenovic won the opening set 6-3 against compatriot Virginie Razzano, who then withdrew due to injury while leading 2-1 on serve in the second.
