Pablo Cuevas trounced fifth seed Joao Sousa in 58 minutes in the SkiStar Swedish Open final.
The Uruguayan world No 111 upset Fernando Verdasco to reach the final and needed only 58 minutes to convincingly dismantle Portugal's Sousa 6-2 6-1 at the Bastad Tennis Stadium.
Once Cuevas overcame any lingering nerves he pushed on from 4-2 in the first set to win seven games without reply.
The Portuguese avoided the bagel by clinching the penultimate game, but his opponent had only conceded four points in his seven-game run and stormed over the finishing line before the scoreboard could mark one hour of play.
Cuevas, 28, becomes the second player outside the top 100 in the ATP rankings to win a title this year, following Martin Klizan's success at Munich's BMW Open.
The 25-year-old Sousa, who ended Carlos Berlocq's title defence in Bastad, must press on in pursuit of a second ATP title having come up short on the tour since winning the Malaysian Open back in September.
