Top seeds Peng Shuai and Hsieh Su-Wei claimed the French Open women's doubles title on Sunday with a 6-4 6-1 victory over Italian pair Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci.
It was a second Grand Slam title for China's Peng and her Taiwanese partner Shuai, who also won the title at Wimbledon last year.
The pairing had to recover from 3-1 down in the first set, helped by Errani dropping serve three times.
Peng and Hsieh took full control in the second set, winning six straight games and clinching the victory when Errani sent a forehand return wide.
It was a first defeat of the season in the Grand Slams for Errani and Vinci, who won the Australian Open earlier this year.
The victory was Peng and Hsieh's third in a row against Errani and Vinci.
"Don't be sad... you guys will win much more than us, so let us win this one," Peng said to her opponents at the trophy presentation. "It is a dream to win."
