Top seed Daniela Hantuchova reached the semi-finals of the Marrakech Grand Prix without playing a point as China's Peng Shuai was forced to withdraw.

The Slovakian was handed a walkover victory over the sixth seed to set up a last-four meeting with Switzerland's Romina Oprandi.

Oprandi stunned third seed Yvonne Meusburger of Austria, pulling off a 6-4 6-4 victory thanks to two breaks of serve in the first set and one in the second.

Fifth-seeded Spaniard Garbine Muguruza swept aside Israel's Shahar Peer 6-3 6-1, while her compatriot Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor joined her in the semis courtesy of a 7-6 (7/3) 7-6 (7/5) win over Slovenia's Polona Hercog.
