Caroline Wozniacki: Dane required more than two hours to end challenge of Bojana Jovanovski
Top seed Caroline Wozniacki outlasted Bojana Jovanovski to reach the semi-finals of Luxembourg Open.
The Dane won 6-3 3-6 6-3 in a match lasting two hours and seven minutes and featuring 11 breaks of serve.
Wozniacki will play third seed Sabine Lisicki after the German also came through a three-setter against unseeded Italian Karin Knapp, 7-5 4-6 6-0.
Stefanie Voegele of Switzerland upset second-seeded American Sloane Stephens 6-3 3-6 6-2 earlier in the day.
Germany's Annika Beck awaits Voegele in the semi-finals after beating Polish qualifier Katarzyna Piter 6-3 6-7 (3/7) 7-6 (7/5) in three hours and 12 minutes, the longest match of the tournament.
