Adrian Mannarino and Federico Delbonis advanced to the second round of the Malaysian Open in Kuala Lumpur on Monday.

Frenchman Mannarino saw off Germany's Daniel Brands in straight sets, 6-3 6-4.

Meanwhile, Argentina's Delbonis was also a comfortable victor as he saw off South Korean wildcard Hyeon Chung 6-4 6-2.

World No 4 David Ferrer headlines the tournament, aiming to return to winning ways after defending champion Juan Monaco withdrew with a wrist injury.

Last year's leading ATP winner with seven titles, the Spaniard has only claimed two crowns this year, in Argentina in January and New Zealand a month later.
