Chinese wildcard Shuai Zhang reached her maiden WTA Tour final with a straight-sets win over Austrian Yvonne Meusburger at the Guangzhou Open.

Zhang, the world No 112, prevailed 6-1 6-1 and will take on Vania King for the title on Saturday.

The American came from a set down to defeat Zhang's compatriot Zheng Jie 3-6 7-5 6-3 in the other semi-final.

World No 124 King's only WTA Tour title came in Beijing seven years ago.
