Kimiko Date-Krumm's impressive run at the Korea Open has come to an end after she lost in three sets to Francesca Schiavone.
Date-Krumm had beaten Heather Watson and second seed Maria Kirilenko en route to the quarter-finals.
However despite the 42-year-old claiming the opening set, former French Open champion Schiavone hit back to win 4-6 6-4 6-4.
Top seed Agnieszka Radwanska was barely troubled as she needed just 62 minutes to see off the challenge of Vera Dushevina.
Radwanska rattled off a 6-2 6-0 victory and will now face Lara Arruabarrena Vecino in the last four.
Arruabarrena Vecino ended the run of the last home hope as the wold No 113 from Spain beat Jang Su-Jeong 6-0 6-4.
Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova completes the semi-final line-up after her victory over Irina-Camelia Begu, with the second seed winning 6-2 6-2.
