Kimiko Date-Krumm rolled back the years as she stunned second seed Maria Kirilenko to reach the quarter-finals of the Korea Open.

The 42-year-old was simply too good for the world No 19, with Date-Krumm racing to a 6-3 6-1 victory.

Date-Krumm, who saw off Heather Watson in the opening round, will now face third seed Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova in the last eight.

Top-ranked Agnieszka Radwanska is also through to the quarter-finals after a convincing rout of Estrella Cabeza Candela.

The Pole secured a 6-2 6-1 victory in 62 minutes and she will now take on Vera Dushevina.

The other second round match played on Thursday saw Jang Su-Jeong keep the home hopes alive with a 1-6 6-4 6-1 win over Ons Jabeur.
