Laura Robson has withdrawn from this week's Rogers Cup in Canada because of injury.
The 19-year-old world No 32 from London had been drawn to face Yanina Wickmayer of Belgium but pulled out shortly before she was due to play.
The Australian-born Brit is suffering from a wrist injury and does not want to aggravate it with the US Open starting later this month.
On her last outing in Carlsbad, California, last week Robson was beaten in straight sets by former Wimbledon champion Petra Kvitova.
Her place in Toronto went to lucky loser Bethanie Mattek-Sands of the United States.
