In-form Fabio Fognini won his 13th successive match on Saturday to reach the ATP Croatia Open final as he bids to pick up yet another title.
The 26-year-old triumphed 6-0 3-6 7-6 (7/3) over France's Gael Monfils to set up a showdown with Spain's Tommy Robredo in Sunday's final.
The Italian third seed led 5-0 in the final set but then was pulled back to 5-5, saving three match points in the 11th game before he took the tiebreaker.
He will now be gunning for his third title in three weeks after victories in Stuttgart and Hamburg.
His final opponent is fifth seed Robredo, who upset second seed Andreas Sippi 6-3 2-6 6-4 to progress.
