Shahar Peer will be aiming for her sixth career title when she takes on teenager Elina Svitolina in the final of the Baku Cup.

The former world No 11, who last reached a WTA Tour final two years ago when she lost to Nadia Petrova in Washington, comfortably dismissed qualifier Magda Linette in straight sets, 6-1 6-1.

The 26-year-old from Israel has dropped to 149 in the rankings, but her form has picked up recently and will take on the 2010 French Open junior champion Svitolina in Sunday's final.

Seventh-seeded Svitolina, 18, was competing in her second successive semi-final - a week after losing the first of her career in Bad Gastein, Austria.

The 71st-ranked player from Ukraine, who won her first title last November in Pune, India, made it through by upsetting fourth-seeded Alexandra Cadantu 6-1 6-4.
