ATP Claro Open: Ivo Karlovic to meet home hope Alejandro Falla in the final

Big serving Croatian Ivo Karlovic upset second seed Kevin Anderson 6-4 6-7 (4) 6-3 to set up a showdown against home hope Alejandro Falla at the Claro Open in Colombia.

Karlovic has yet to be been broken in the tournament, and that continued as he fired down another 22 aces against his 23rd-ranked opponent from South Africa.

The 34-year-old broke once in the opening set and once in the deciding set to seal the win, with Anderson taking the second on a tie-break.

Karlovic, ranked 155th in the world, has not been in a final for more than three years and only recently returned to action after a bout of viral meningitis.

In his way will by world No 122 Falla - and the home support - after the Colombian came from behind to dispatch Canada's Vasek Pospisil 6-7 (4) 6-3 6-4.

It will be Falla's first Tour final and only his second meeting with Karlovic. Falla won in five sets when the pair met at the French Open in 2008.
