Italians Sara Errani and Roberta Vinci cruised into the semi-finals of the Italiacom Open in Palermo on Friday.

Top seed Errani saw off Silvia Soler Espinosa 6-4 6-0.

The home favourite took the second set without dropping a game after winning the first 6-4 and will next meet Klara Zakopalova who got past Dinah Pfizenmaier in three sets.

The other semi will be contested by second seed Vinci and Estrella Cabeza Candela.

Vinci saw off Lourdes Dominquez Lino 6-1 6-4, while Cabeza Candela was a 7-5 6-4 victor against Renata Voracova.
