Lisicki is something of a grass-court specialist and she relied on her previous experience in quarter-finals from Wimbledon to help her progress on Tuesday.
"With the experience that I have from the last three times I played here in the quarters, I think it helped me a lot," she said.
"It is so nice [to be back in the semi-finals]. I did it two years ago, played very well, and now I felt even more ready for this match and yesterday I had a great challenge on the way to the semis. I think it made me ready for the semis.
"There is no pressure because for me it is still a game that I love so much. I want to keep it that way. I am going out there for every single match trying to win and we will see what happens."
