Andy Murray believes his AEGON Championship success at the Queen's Club has been the ideal preparation for Wimbledon.

After his three-set win over Marin Cilic in the final on Sunday, the world No 2 declared himself pleased with how the week had gone.

Having missed the French Open with a back injury, the US Open champion looked in good shape at Queen's.

And despite dropping the first set in both the semi-final and the final, always looked in control.

"It's been really good," he said. "(Nicolas) Mahut, my first match, was a tough one and then, obviously, the last two with (Jo-Wilfried) Tsonga and Cilic.

"They're very good grass court players - Cilic had won here last year and I played Tsonga in the semis at Wimbledon so two tough opponents.

"To get matches like that before Wimbledon is just perfect."
