Julien Benneteau: Frenchman beaten in straight sets by Pablo Carreno-Busta
France's Julien Benneteau crashed out in the first round of the Portugal Open in Oeiras.
Pablo Carreno-Busta, the world number 228, cruised to a 6-3 6-4 win in one hour and 33 minutes.
Seventh-seeded Argentinian Horacio Zeballos also fell as the first hurdle, going down by the same scoreline to Portuguese wildcard Gastao Elias.
Spain's Tommy Robredo avoided making it a clean sweep of seeds to exit, the eighth-seed surviving a scare against fellow countryman Daniel Gimeno-Traver before claiming a 2-6 7-5 6-3 victory.
