Rain scuppered hopes of play at the ATP Delray Beach International in Florida.

In the only match that took to the court, eighth-seeded Belgian Xavier Malisse and Spanish qualifier Daniel Munoz were tied at 2-2 when they were forced off for the day.

Second-round matches now scheduled for Thursday include top seed John Isner against Japan's Go Soeda. America's Isner hammered 28 aces in a three-set first-round victory over Canadian Jesse Levine on Tuesday night.

Defending champion Kevin Anderson of South Africa, the sixth seed, is scheduled to take on Taiwan's Lu Yen Hsun on Thursday night.
