Klara Zakopalova: Came from behind to reach round two in Paris

Klara Zakopalova battled back from a set down to see off Anabel Medina Garrigues in the first round of the Open GDF Suez in Paris.

The eighth-seeded Czech, who reached the second round of the Australian Open, claimed a 2-6 7-5 6-0 win over her Spanish opponent.

American Christina McHale and Germany's Mona Barthel were also first-round winners and both went through in straight sets.

McHale saw off French wildcard Pauline Parmentier 6-4 6-1, while Barthel was a 7-6 (7/1) 6-0 winner over Poland's Urszula Radwanska.

Next up for McHale is French favourite Marion Bartoli.
