Heather Watson: During 2012 reached world's top 50 for first time
Young British hopefuls Heather Watson and Laura Robson will open their 2013 campaign at the Hobart International.
The pair will hope to build on their impressive form from last year that saw both women enjoy landmark moments.
Watson ended last season as Britain's top female player at No 49 in the world rankings, four spots above Robson.
Watson, 20, became Britain's first WTA Tour champion in 24 years with her victory at the Japan Open in October.
She returns to Hobart where she competed 12 months ago as a qualifier.
Teenage Robson, meanwhile, collected an Olympic silver medal in the mixed doubles when she partnered Andy Murray and went on to reach the last 16 of the US Open after beating Kim Clijsters and Li Na.
The pair will use the Hobart tournament as preparation for the opening Grand Slam event of the year - the Australian Open - which starts in Melbourne on January 14.
