Sixth seed Milos Raonic came through an epic encounter with Janko Tipsarevic to reach the semi-final of the Japan Open.
Raonic eventually toppled the No 3 seed 6-7 (7-5) 6-2 7-6 (9-7) in a contest lasting two hours 44 minutes in Tokyo.
The Canadian's own service game proved to be key to win, with Tipsarevic failing to fashion a single break-chance opportunity.
Raonic, on the other hand, had eight chances to break - and crucially took two of them - to progress.
Raonic will now face defending champion Andy Murray as he goes in search of his third ATP Tour title this year.
Marcos Baghdatis will meet Kei Nishikori in the other last-four tie.
Cypriot Baghdatis enjoyed a routine 6-2 6-4 win against Russian Dmitry Tursunov while home favourite Nishikori delighted the Tokyo crowd by overcoming second seed Tomas Berdych 7-5 6-4.
