Novak Djokovic: Beat Carlos Berlocq 6-1 6-3 to reach the China Open quarter-finals
World number two Novak Djokovic continued his unbeaten record in the China Open with a straight-sets win against unseeded Carlos Berlocq on Wednesday.
The 25-year-old Serbian progressed to the quarter-finals of the Beijing tournament by dismantling the Argentinian player 6-1 6-3.
The number one seed won the first set in only 25 minutes and raced to a 5-0 lead in the second, only to lose three games carelessly before wrapping up the match.
Djokovic has won the event on the two occasions he has entered, in 2009 and 2010, but missed last year because of injury.
The Serbian next faces Austrian Jurgen Melzer, who knocked out sixth seed Alexandr Dolgopolov 7-6 (11/9) 2-6 6-1.
Germany's Florian Mayer also came through his second-round match against Romanian Marius Copil 3-6 6-3 6-2.
