Roger Federer: Will compete for Switzerland in the Davis Cup against Holland
Roger Federer will return to the Swiss line-up for this weekend's World Group Davis Cup play-off tie against the Netherlands.
The World No.1 made a surprise early exit from the US Open after losing to Tomas Berdych in the quarter-finals, leading to doubts over whether he would line up for his country.
But the Swiss Tennis Federation confirmed on Wednesday that Federer will take his place alongside Stanislas Wawrinka.
The Dutch will host the tie in Amsterdam and will be led by Robin Haase and Thiemo de Bakker.
