Three seeded players advance in Tashkent Open

Urszula Radwanska: Progressed in Uzbekistan after a 6-4 7-5 victory over Maria Teresa Torro
Urszula Radwanska was among three seeded players to advance to the second round of the Tashkent Open on Monday.
After trailing 5-1 in the second set, second seed Radwanska rallied back to win six games on the trot to claim a 6-4 7-5 victory against her Spanish rival Maria Teresa Torro.
Third-seeded Alize Cornet of France also progressed into the second round of the WTA tournament in Uzbekistan with a 6-1 6-3 defeat of Russia's Nina Bratchikova.
Alexandra Panova, the seventh seed, beat Australia's Jarmila Gajdosova in three sets (4-6 6-2 7-5).
Gajdosova had saved three match points to level the third set at 5-5 before Panova took the final two games.
In other matches, Spain's Lara Arruabarrena-Vecino defeated Slovakia's Jana Cepelova 6-1, 6-2 in little more than an hour while Sabina Sharipova downed Vlada Ekshibarova 6-4, 7-5 in a clash between wild cards from Uzbekistan.
