David Ferrer: Fifth title of the season
Top seed David Ferrer crushed Nicolas Almagro 6-2 6-2 to win the Swedish Open title in Bastad.
The 30-year-old picked up his fifth trophy of the season in recording a 16th career title, maintaining a dominant record over his fellow Spaniard.
Ferrer, who lost in the quarter-finals of Wimbledon to Andy Murray, has yet to be defeated by Davis Cup team-mate Almagro in 11 meetings.
Two breaks of service in either set did the damage for Ferrer, who faced just one break point in the match as a listless Almagro failed to threaten.
