Benoit Paire: Reaches his first ever ATP tour final in Serbia

Rising star Benoit Paire caused a major upset at the Serbia Open by defeating top-seeded Pablo Andujar to reach his first ever ATP tour final.

The 22-year-old Frenchman, who is currently ranked 96 in the world, showed plenty of resilience to fight back after losing the second set for a 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 success against his Spanish opponent.

Paire, who had previously eliminated sixth-seeded Fabio Fognini and Guillermo Garcia-Lopez before powering past third-seeded Jarkko Nieminen in the quarter-finals was in impressive form against Andujar, serving seven aces along the way to victory.

He will face Italian Andreas Seppi in the final after the second seed beat fourth seed David Nalbandian 2-6, 6-2, 7-5.
