Caroline Wozniacki: former world number one is without a WTA Tour title for eight months
Caroline Wozniacki wasted little time in reaching the semi-finals of the e-Boks Open in Copenhagen with a straight-sets win over Alize Cornet of France.
The top-seeded Dane needed just 64 minutes to wrap up a 6-0 6-3 victory, breaking her opponent's serve four times.
So one-sided was the opening set that Cornet, the world number 107 from Nice, won only four points on her own delivery.
She fared better in the second set but still failed to get close to breaking the world number six Wozniacki's serve.
So far this week Wozniacki has lost just 14 games in six sets as she chases a third successive triumph in this event and her first WTA Tour title since last August.
She will play Croatia's world number 57 Petra Martic in the last four after the Croat survived a difficult second set to overcome Serbia's Bojan Jovanovski 6-4 4-6 6-3.
Second seed Angelique Kerber beat Mona Barthel of France 6-2 0-6 7-5 and will play third seed Jelena Jankovic, who edged out Estonia's Kaia Kanepi 4-6 6-1 6-3.
