Two-time Grand Slam champion and former world No 1 Lleyton Hewitt will skip this year's French Open in what is likely to be his last year on the ATP Tour.
Hewitt's manager has said that the Australian veteran wants to focus on Wimbledon, where he won the 2002 title, and Australia's Davis Cup quarter-final against Kazakhstan in July.
The 34-year-old, who also won the 2001 US Open, said in January that he planned to retire after playing his 20th Australian Open in 2016.
He has struggled with foot and hip injuries in recent years and is currently ranked 108th in the world.
Hewitt reached the quarter-finals of the French Open in 2001 and 2004, but has not been past the first round since 2010.
The tournament at Roland Garros starts May 24.
