Top seed Venus Williams claimed a straight-sets victory over Shelby Rogers to reach the final of the Coupe Banque Nationale in Quebec.
The 34-year-old American saw off her compatriot, seeded fourth here in Canada, with a routine 6-3 6-3 victory in an hour and 21 minutes to set up a showdown with Croatia's Mirjana Lucic-Baroni.
Earlier on Saturday, Lucic-Baroni held on to record a victory over Julia Goerges to reach her fourth WTA final.
The 32-year-old, who reached the semi-finals at Wimbledon in 1999, claimed the first set but lost the second to the fifth-seeded German before she fought back to win the third and the match 6-4 5-7 6-2 in two hours and 23 minutes.
Lucic-Baroni, who knocked Sesil Karatantcheva of Kazakhstan out at the quarter-final stage on Friday, last featured in a singles final when she won the Croatian Bol Ladies Open 16 years ago.
She faces a tough test against the seven-time major winner Williams who will be seeking her 46th career WTA crown and second of the year after a triumph in Dubai.
