Ivo Karlovic will face Lleyton Hewitt in the final of the ATP Hall of Fame Championships in Rhode Island on Sunday.

Croatian No 2 seed Karlovic defeated Australian Samuel Groth 6-4 6-4 while Hewitt romped pat local hope and seventh seed Jack Sock 6-1, 6-2

Karlovic will be playing his third final of the year, having lost to Kei Nishikori at Memphis in February and Philipp Kohlschreiber at Dusseldorf in May.

Karlovic, who fired nine aces to oust first-time semi-finalist Groth in just over an hour, has not won an ATP title since claiming the fifth of his career last July in Colombia, which ended a win drought of more than five years.

He would jump from 31st to 28th in the rankings if he was able to secure victory over Hewitt, who was reaching the final in Newport for the third successive year.
