ATP World Tour Finals - Day 3

  1. Image: Horia Tecau and Robert Lindstedt opened day three in the doubles.
  2. Image: Rohan Bopanna and Mahesh Bhupathi were the opposition and it was they who took the first set 6-3.
  3. Image: Lindstedt needed a physio in the second set, but he and Tecau still managed to hit back and take it 7-5 to set up a champion tie-break.
  4. Image: But it was Bopanna and Bhupathi who held their nerve to take it 10-5.
  5. Image: That meant it was time for Andy Murray and his clash with world number one Novak Djokovic.
  6. Image: An early break set Murray on his way to claim the first set 6-4.
  7. Image: Djokovic hit back, though, breaking for a 4-2 lead in the second set.
  8. Image: And the Serb duly closed out the set 6-3.
  9. Image: Missed chances cost Murray dear...
  10. Image: ...as Djokovic prevailed 4-6 6-3 7-5.
  11. Image: Wimbledon champions Freddie Nielsen and Jonathan Marray were back in action looking for their second win.
  12. Image: Experienced duo Max Mirnyi and Daniel Nestor were across the net. The first two sets were shared, taking the match to a Champions Tie-break decider.
  13. Image: But Nielsen and Marray held their nerve to take it 12-10.
  14. Image: Victory secured a semi-final spot for the Anglo-Danish eighth seeds.
  15. Image: Tomas Berdych took the first set of the evening singles clash 7-5 against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.
  16. Image: Tsonga's dreams of glory in London appeared to by dying.
  17. Image: But the Frenchman hit back to win the second set 6-3 and force a decider.
  18. Image: But Berdych regained control and swept through the final set 6-1 to keep his semi-final hopes very much alive.
