Andy Murray: O2 decision next week
Andy Murray is expected to decide next week whether he will play in the season-ending ATP World Tour Finals in London.
Murray underwent surgery on his back last week to cure a long-standing problem and his recovery is reportedly going well.
The operation had been expected to rule him out for the rest of the season, but he has not yet withdrawn from the O2 extravaganza.
His participation remains unlikely but it is understood a final decision will be made next week following a consultation with medical staff.
Murray's top priority is to be fit for the start of next season, and he does not want anything to prevent him from carrying out his winter training in Miami, which he views as critical to his preparations.
Murray is likely to head to America in mid-November, around a week earlier than usual, to begin his gruelling physical preparations for the 2014 campaign.
It was confirmed today those preparations will include headlining the four-man exhibition Dream Cup in Barbados, which begins on November 28.
The tournament, which also features Juan Martin del Potro, Nicolas Almagro and Richard Gasquet, has a first prize of a holiday at the luxury Saint Peter's Bay resort worth $500,000.
