King's Lynn have swooped to sign World Under-21 champion Maciej 'Magic' Janowski.

Magic comes in on loan from Swindon Robins, who decided they could not fit him in this year.

King's Lynn have now moved quickly to bring him into their side, which is now complete after the club also confirmed they had re-signed Swede Daniel Nermark - who spent last season with Birmingham Brummies - and also landed Filip Sitera and Michael Palm Toft in a doubling-up role.

Manager Rob Lyon said: "To be successful this season we need a rider who will improve their average by two or three points, with Magic joining us on a ridiculously low average of 6.06 I believe he will be the rider to achieve that.

"It hasn't been easy making it all work but we have miraculously managed to fit Daniel into the team, he is a great rider and still has a lot of fans at King's Lynn after two magnificent seasons with us in the Premier League."

Stars promoter Jonathan Chapman believes Janowski, who is an established heat leader in Poland and Sweden, is yet to hit his true potential in the UK.

He said: "The results in Poland and the rest of Europe show just how good he really is.

"I am extremely excited he is joining us and would like to thank Greg Hancock and Morgan Hughes for all their help."

Swindon

Swindon explained their decision to allow Janowski to move to King's Lynn.

Robins co-promoter Gary Patchett explained: "Ideally we would have liked to see Magic return in 2012 but a combination of factors prevented that. We were concerned that there may be availability issues with Magic switching clubs in Poland and moving to Tarnow.

"Birmingham had major problems last season with Krzyzstof Kasprzak riding for the same club and that was a risk we didn't want to take.

"We could also have used Magic ahead of Jason Doyle but we were all agreed that it was important to keep Peter Kildemand at reserve, and the balance of the top five was better served with two five-point riders in the last two positions.

"We are delighted to see that Magic has secured a team place elsewhere and wish him well for next season. He flew around King's Lynn last year and that is clearly what attracted Buster and Jonathan (Chapman)."
