Wolverhampton Wolves have confirmed Jacob Thorssell as the second member of their 2013 line up while Pontus Aspgren is free to leave.

The Swede, who was drafted in as injury cover for Aspgren in June, will race alongside Grand Prix star Freddie Lindgren for the midlands club next season.

Wolves' owner Chris Van Straaten insists the club will continue to monitor Aspgren, who averaged 3.88 from 17 outings in his debut British campaign.

"It was a tough call for Pontus but he is free to talk to other clubs and we wanted to make the decision as quickly as possible to give him the best chance of getting fixed up," Van Straaten told the club's official website.

"He is certainly part of the future plans here at Wolverhampton and we will be watching his progress closely in 2013."
