Poole team manager Neil Middleditch has urged star rider Darcy Ward to decide whether he wants to ride for the club in 2013.
The Elite League title finalists have offered the double World Under-21 Champion the chance to stay at Wimborne Road next season.
World Champion Chris Holder is set to stay then Krzysztof Kasprzak would be let go if Ward were to extend his stay.
"He really needs to decide what he going to do because the options are narrowing."
Middleditch on Ward
The Pirates were pleased with Kasprzak's contribution last season and want a decision from Ward so that the Pole can then plan for 2013.
"We've put offers to Darcy and we're waiting to hear back from him," Middleditch told the Speedway Star.
"He really needs to decide what he going to do because the options are narrowing.
"A lot of teams are already signing their number ones. We've not going to wait around forever, let me tell you.
"We don't want to mess Krzysztof around because he did a brilliant job for us when he stepped in last season. He loves riding at Poole and he's received very well."
Ward has previously stated he is '50/50' to return to racing in Britain next year after being handed a wild card for the 2013 Grand Prix Series.
