Belle Vue manager Jason Attwood has criticised his side for their poor performances at Poole and Swindon last week.
The Aces suffered two heavy defeats and the opportunity to make amends at home to the Pirates on Monday was lost to a postponement caused by thunderstorms.
Attwood is now seeking a response when they take on Wolverhampton Wolves next week.
"I understand as a team manager there is going to be a lot aimed at me, but I've only been in the job for three years; I'm still young and I'm still learning," he said.
"I know I can get the lads geed up but I can't ride the bikes for them.
"They are letting themselves down, letting me down and letting the club down. The performances over those 48 hours were just heartbreaking."
