The new National Speedway Stadium, which will be the home of Belle Vue Aces will be built in time for next season - the club have confirmed.
Belle Vue boss David Gordon has announced that the club are targeting the start of next season for racing to open at the club's £6m new stadium in Kirkmanshulme Lane.
The Aces supremo has given a definite target for the first time after a prolonged spell of detailed negotiations during which time there was little news he could announce.
The actual building should take six months and then the club will have a stadium which will bring World championship racing to Manchester.
Gordon said: "I can say at last that the target is to be in the stadium by the start of next season.
"Things have been very quiet for a long time while Chris Morton and I have have been doing the hard yards of the detailed negotiations with meetings almost on a daily basis. But everything we have dreamed about is getting closer."
