It's been labelled the best Grand Prix line-up since the competition started back in 1995.
And it's hard to disagree with that. Yes, fasten your seatbelts and enjoy the ride as the SGP tour starts this Saturday at Leszno, one of the best racetracks in the world.
The biggest challenge facing the organisers is how to follow the success of last year. The entertainment value was second to none with some of the most exciting racing I've seen in 30-years of watching this great sport.
People often say it's not the same these days. The great days of Wembley and those World Finals will never be repeated.
But take a look at the video of the 1981 final when Bruce Penhall won and there were no more than three or four good races in that meeting which was often described as 'the best ever'.
Well, last year we saw passing galore in many rounds of the world championship and it's going to be a hard act to follow this time around.
Tomasz Gollob was a worthy winner of the world title after going so close in the past and I feel sure he has the appetite to do it again.
And I also fancy triple champions Jason Crump and Nicki Pedersen could be knocking on the door along with last year's runner-up Jarek Hampel.
But I've also got a feeling talented young Russian Emil Sayfutdinov will be a major threat if he can get through the 11 rounds unscathed.
He's a fabulous talent and he's box office. I love watching him race.
Our own Chris Harris enjoyed a fine second half to last season and we all hope he can reproduce that consistently from the off.
And Freddie Lindgren continues to make progress year-on-year but this time his aim has to be a top six slot.
It's all set up to be a great season. We've had a fine start to the league campaign in the UK and with the GP upon us it's a great time to be a speedway fan!
As for Saturday's result I will predict Hampel, Gollob, Crump, Sayfutdinov. In that order. Enjoy.
